Welcome to Paul Woggy’s Tales from the Wild!

I’m a whimsical surrealist painter & photographer whose work centers on narrative art with child-like wonder and emotional complexity. My unique style evokes the charm of modern fairytales in visual form, blending serenity and humor with a touch of darkness and nostalgia. I believe stories help us connect and grow. Each piece is a reminder to appreciate the quiet moments, find wonder in nature, and celebrate what makes us weird.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I now live in California. Prior to becoming a full-time artist, I spent 15 years leading engineering teams on super math-y, science-y things. Quite the career flip, I know. Yet that part of me is still present, and you can see it peak through in my pieces. I am also a craftsman who loves woodworking. All the frames for my original acrylics, all the signs displayed at festivals, all the wood products are all handmade by me.
You can find me throughout the year at art festivals and gallery exhibitions. I love having the opportunity to engage with the community and swap tales. Thanks for enjoying my work!
